Raiders Company 6 Mile Conditioning Hike

Raiders Company celebrated the end of classes with another successful conditioning hike or "hump". Raiders traversed through mud, cow pastures, parts of the Huckleberry Trail, and the Virginia Tech campus with full gear, packs, Kevlar helmets, and rifles over a total distance of six miles. This was the third and final hump for Raiders Company. In the spring semester Raiders Company plans on participating in more humps and eventually working up to 14 miles.

Raiders Company take a 10 minute rest at the halfway point. Squad leaders and other members of the chain of command use this time to check their subordinates' gear and for any injuries.
