Captain Snyder addresses family, friends, and the Midshipmen battalion.
Captain Rubenstein discusses the tradition involved in the Change of Command ceremony.
Total Command of Authority and Responsibility is transferred from Captain Snyder to Captain Rubenstein.
After 30 years of Naval Services, Captain Snyder retired
For his many years of service, Captain Snyder was commended by the Governor of Virginia, Mark Warner, Senator George Allen, and The Commander in Chief.
Special Guest, Admiral Weaver, helps present numerous awards to Captain Snyder.
Captain Snyder poses with son, Kevin, wife, Colleen, and Admiral Weaver. The importance of family, in the life of a military officer, cannot be stressed enough.
Captain Snyder was presented with his retirement gifts. Two display cases: One recognizing his medals and awards, the other encasing his sword.
After getting permission to go ashore, Captain Snyder departs through the side boys with his family.
