Gettysburg Staff Ride
On the weekend of 25-27 March, the juniors and seniors of Semper Fi Society took staff ride with LtCol Stringer to Gettysburg National Battlefield. Staff rides are battle fields studies used by Marines to gain a better understanding of the nature and conduct of warfare with topics ranging from commander's intent to tactics and terrain. Among the places visited include: Devil's Den, Little Round Top, The Peach Orchard, Culp's Hill, Seminary Ridge, and a walk of Pickett's Charge. The Gettysburg staff ride helped aspiring Marine officers gain a better understanding of one of America's bloodiest battles. Virginia Tech Semper Fidelis Society would like to thank LtCol Stringer for another outstanding Gettysburg staff ride.
